Rachel Manson
To Release Debut Comedy Album
with Howl & Roar Records on July 24, 2025
Toronto-based comedian Rachel Manson is proud to announce her debut stand up comedy album 3rd Most Improved will be released July 24, 2025 on Howl & Roar Records. Recorded live at the John Candy Box at The Second City in Toronto, this stand up album reveals what happens to those kids who win bible awards from their religious high schools.
3rd Most Improved is an album mostly about polyamory, ADHD, and getting through your awkward phase by Canada’s most notable queer femme scarecrow. Across 13 tracks Rachel Manson weaves relatable material about neurodivergence, queer polyamory, and spooky personal quirks into hilarious stories. With abstract observations and offbeat pop culture references, 3rd Most Improved mines Manson’s fascinating personal experiences for comedy gold.
“This has been a beast of an album to write, and will be a wonderful beginning, middle, and end to a whirlwind chapter in my life, in and out of comedy,” said Rachel.
Rachel Manson is a writer, actor and comedian, and is featured in season 5 of CBC’s The New Wave of Stand Up. Rachel has toured across North America and Europe, opening for headliners like Jared Freid, Pinky Patel, Judah Friedlander, Sheba Mason and more. Woman-led, Juno award winning Howl & Roar Records was born out of a desire to buck industry standards.
